DA enhancements and Fractals

I spend my free time doing one of two things... riding the Harley with hubby, or learning and creating new things here on the computer. I've done a lot of both of those things this week, as well as found a lot of really cool stuff here on DA that I just had to share with you all!

ostit: NEWS ARTICLE: if you haven't seen the article yet, check out:  Devious Exposure Squad: Issue #1  (Wallpaper). Get ready to collect and lots of great, and previously unexposed wallpapers!

ostit: DA add ons for FireFox: I found some really useful stuff in this news article, and my DA experience is much improved now! A must read for FireFox users... I especially recommend deviantPlus by zikes, and deviantMessage by bluespeed9. If you want to change the look of the DA site by using skins, I strongly recommend using the Stylish add on for FireFox, along with the no CSS for journals script. I've found three skins that work without issues so far, they are here, here, and here.

Remember, you need the GreaseMonkey add on for FireFox in order for any of these tools to work.

ostit: Make your own fractals art! I finally took the time to check out the Apophysis software for making fractals. If this is something you want to explore, I recommend that you check out the group here on DA called Apophysis. They have a lot of great reference materials, tutorials, scripts, aplugins and gradients to help you along your fractal journey. I've only done a few flame renders so far, but I already have plans for using fractals in my other artwork.

ostit: PhotoShop Video Tutorials right here on DA by DigitalPhenom... I've spent some time with these tutorials this week, and can honestly say that I haven't found a better way to pick up really useful tips for PhotoShop! A must see, IMO. (While I was there, I picked up this really cool Harley CSS for the ol journal, cool, huh? His free journals rock, be sure to check them out.)

ostit: Digital Friday Favs - I almost forgot to mention that I was featured in Jen's "Digital Friday Favs"! Woohoo! (Submit your  digital artwork to the forum thread listed in this news article and you could be featured too!)
