NEWS

I've waited so long to update my journal here that I don't even know where to begin! LOL Once I got the Wacom tablet, PhotoShop, Poser and Painter all set up... I was lost to creating and learning for a while! Now that I've used Poser a little more in depth than ever before, I've noticed one major difference between it and DazStudio...

Poser 7, with the FireFly render engine doesn't rely soley on your graphics card capability to render, it functions as part of the software... whereas DazStudio relies on your graphics card and ram... this makes a huge difference, not only in render time, but also in render capability and quality. For example, I can't use more than 8 lights in DAZ because of limitations due to my *desperately needs to be updated* graphics card... but I can use well over 8 lights in Poser 7 and render rather quickly!

I wish this was something I was made aware of sooner, I wouldn't have waited so long to invest in Poser 7! I welcome your thoughts and comments about this... maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I need to learn more about the render settings? I know that's true for me in Poser 7, even though I've really noticed a quality difference already. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this!

Moving right along... I've been deputized! As a member of the D.E.S. (Deviant Exposure Squad), I'm helping to bring well deserved attention to previously unknown wallpaper artists, and I'm having a lot of fun doing so! I will be adding a new feature section to my journals to share my D.E.S. finds, I hope you enjoy them. To find out more about the D.E.S, visit JesseLax's journal here: allhopeislost.deviantart.com/j…

Searching out undiscovered wallpapers for the D.E.S. really inspired me! I finally took the plunge and created my very first wallpaper pack! It's based off of the art of one of my most recent deviations, and contains several different sizes for the most common screen resolutions... click the thumb below to check it out, I'm so proud! LOL :)

The VampyreArmy is having a Vamp Fashion contest... this group is a lot of fun, and the shares there are so very inspiring... well, if you're into dark art and Vamps I guess! LOL Do give them a visit and learn more about the contest here: vampyrearmy.deviantart.com/jou…

DEVIOUS EXPOSURE SQUAD FINDS

These are the wallpapers I found during my D.E.S. investigations ;) I'm limited to five submissions per D.E.S article, so these are the ones that I didn't submit. You'll have to read the news article when it comes out to see my submissions (I'll announce it here). If you're wondering how I decide on which ones get submitted... that's easy! Out of all the one's I find, I submit the ones with the least amount of exposure!
